Los Testigos, the easternmost of the island paradises in "The Other Caribbean", is populated by only a handful of fishing families. A few yachtsman occasionally visit, but it is well off the beaten track. Beautiful beaches, huge sand dunes, and a wonderful array of locations for exploring will be found on this tiny pristine archipelago. Los Testigos also offers good hiking areas, with breathtaking views, and a wide assortment of seabirds.
The outflow from the Orinoco river, despite it's distance from Los Testigos, may occasionally have a negative effect on the clarity of the water and hence the snorkeling. On the other hand this same outflow, providing as it does a vast supply of nutrients also has a very positive effect on the marine life. As a result, Los Testigos boasts exceptionally good fishing for a wide variety of species.
